It really depends on your body, but you will probably have your first menstrual cycle within the next two to four weeks. Watch for tenderness in your chest, cramping feelings in your abdomen, and sadness or moodiness. If you notice any of these signs, it could mean that your cycle is getting ready to return.

The symptoms will likely be very similar to those experienced before you became pregnant, cramping, breast tenderness, etc. If they were minor previous to your pregnancy, they may remain minor.

If you get symptoms they will be similar to what you experienced before pregnancy. Remember breastfeeding is not a method of birth control. It's possible to get pregnant. Use Protection.

This depends on the mother's own body chemistry and the way it responds to hormonal influences associated with breast feeding. How often the baby takes a pacifier, or a bottle are factors. Anytime the stimulation to the breast have decreased, menstruation will soon follow. You will have nipple tenderness and notice a drop in milk supply.

You should experience many of the same symptoms that you used to get before your period. PMS, cramping, bloating, etc. However, these symptoms will probably be spread out over a longer period of time than the usual week before your period. The most likely symptom you'll probably notice is cramping.

Getting your period after stopping breastfeeding will be very much like the periods you had pre-pregnancy. Bloating, cramping and food cravings, as well as tender breast are common symptoms of your period starting in the near future. In addition you may notice a discharge and that you are more tired.

It took three weeks after I stopped breastfeeding for me to get my period back. I just felt pretty run down and sick. I also was starting to have some vaginal discharge for quite a few days before hand. You'll know when you're going to get it. Basically you will feel sick but you're not actually sick.

Not medical Advice: Like all menstral cycles it follows with cramping, bloating and cravings. It is also a sign when you have tenderness of the breast area.
