What are the steps to repair a steering column?

The steering column must be removed in order to be repaired. There are bolt at the bottom agaisnt the firewall and up under the key ignition. Once these are are removed the steering column pulls straight out. You will also have to remove any electrical connections.

Depending on the problem at hand it's a quick and easy process as far as repairs go. Remove the column first and examine it.

If problem is not too critical then. It should be a easy process to take old one out and examine it, install brand new one.
