Solubility rules are tables that show what combinations of ions are soluble in water and which combinations form precipitates. Certain ions when dissolved together in water will spontaneously for a solid. These rules are usually presented in the forms of tables in most basic chemistry textbooks. They can also be found on the internet.

The general rule is like dissolves like in regards to polar, non polar, and ionic mocules they dissolve more easier with each.

The rules are that depending on what is mixed together, they may or may not form a substance. You should probably ask your teacher for a list of the rules.
