There are many side effects in taking HRT and some of these are the following: it can cause headache, weight gain, depression and fluid retention (also called edema. Other side effect can also put you at risk of heart disease, dementia and breast cancer.

The most soncerning effect is the increased risk of cancer. This increased risk is for breast cancer and also for endometrial, depending on which HRT you take. Also there is an increased risk of clots.

Some side effets of HRT are, slighty increased risk of ovarian cancer, increased breat mass, increased risk of blood clots, and slightly increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
