Side effects of this drug are mostly related to bleeding, so if you experience any rash or red spots on your skin, having black tarry stools, pink tinge urine, or a delayed clotting time.

Less severe side effects are nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, gas or bloating, or hair loss. More severe side effects are severe allergic reactions, skin changes or discoloration, pain in abdomen, fever, loss of appetite, jaundice, diarrhea, chills body aches, flu-like symptoms, easy bruising or bleeding, blood in urine or stool, weakness, light-headedness, stroke like symptoms, numbness, leg or foot pain.

Coumadin is the brand name of warfarin, and is an anticoagulant drug used to prevent thrombosis (clots). Common side effects include, but are not limited to, allergic reaction, abnormal bleeding from internal organs, increased bleeding from cuts or injuries, increased menstrual flow, blood in the urine or stools, and weakness or dizziness. If you experience unusual effects consult your doctor.

There have been no common side effects have been reported with Coumadin. As a patient you should really only be concerned with the possibility of an allergic reaction.

There is always a risk of bleeding out when taking a blood thinner. You could end up coughing the blood up or excreting it in your fluid of solid waste. The blood may come out of any exit/entrance of your body.
