The vehicle that arrives first has the right of way. All being equal, the vehicle on the left has the right of way.

Every car must stop at a four-way stop. Generally, the rule is that the first car that got to the stop sign goes first, and so on.

There are a couple of rules. One Emergency vehicles get right of way. Then right of way goes to whoever got to the stop first. If multiple people get to the stop at the same time the right of way means that the person who is to your right gets to go first.
