You need a good eye for detail along with a strong stomach,able to cataloging evidence without difficulties,excellent interrogation skills and able to interpret body language.

you need to have a good education, and your record needs to be clean have to be a u.s. citizen. and have earned your high scool diploma.

All homicide detectives were first general patrol officers in the police force. After some years of experience, candidates are tested for promotion. Prospective detectives must show an aptitude for the work.
