What are the wiring requirements for an above ground pool?

I need to make sure my pool meats the wiring requirements.

These will vary by state, county, and city. Some of them just use 110. It also depends on your type of pool. Also, you meant "meets", not "meats".

The wires and cables need to be insulated. if you are making the above ground pool permanent, using EMT (either metal or plastic) would be recommended. This allows the wires to hold up to the weather and mischief. Use wires that are 12 gauge or higher. Make sure that you use a ground wire.

You can find the national standard in this publishcation Equipotential Bonding Grid code in the 2008 national code book. Local codes differ from area to area.

Usually all of your equipment, including any accessories on the deck , needs to all be bonded and grounded. Check with your township, as specifics vary from one place to another.
