What are the principles of Hinduism?

In Hinduism there are five main principles. They are that God exists as One Trinity. All humans are divine and united through the existence of love. There is to be religious harmony. There is an understanding of Ganga, the sacred river; Gita, the sacred script; and Gayatri, the sacred mantra.

There are multiple gods and goddesses in Hinduism, but Hindus believe they are all parts or aspects of Brahman, the "Absolute". The three most prominent deities are: Brahma, the creator (different from Brahman), Vishnu, the preserver and Shiva, the destroyer. Hindus typically don't any one god/goddess, but a family may pick one for which they set up a shrine.
