There are many parts of digital cameras and they are not as easy to fix as the old mechanical ones which were simple by comparison. Some of the main parts are the lens, sensor, lcd and casing. Unfortunately, often, unless under warranty, digital cameras cost more to fix than they are worth.

a digital camera is made up mostly of computer chips which are near impossible to fix at home. the other major components are the lens, battery and storage compartments, which are not as difficult to fix if you know what your doing.
