What are the origins of 7 being considered a lucky number?

Depending on who you talk to, they may have different asnwers as to why 7 is a lucky number. Some people say it is lucky because tehre are 7 days in a week, other say because of the 7 wonders of the anchient world. A few other common ones are the 7 deadly sins and the 7 seas.

I think it has something to do with how we consider the origins of the days of the week being only 7. There also has something to do with us having seven wonders of the world. and Pythagoreans also believe that this number was lucky for all of us. It has dated from ancient times.
