First, make sure he feels comfortable shaving when he is ready, and be sure to buy him his own razors or an electric shaver. Second, teach him good skin care for his skin type. Lastly, make sure he knows (awkward as it is to discuss) how to clean his private parts well and trim the hair when needed.

It is important for adolescent boys to have a clean look and to not stand out in a crowd. Teenage boys can become embarrassed easily and want to fit in with the crowd. Hair that isn't too short but also not too long seems to be the style today with adolescent boys.
