No one has officially figured out the cause of trans-gendered desires. All we know is that most people claim they've been the way they are since they were young.
Transgender people believe that they are one sex stuck in another sex's body. For example they think that the are a female stuck in a male's body. Therefore they go through the process of becoming a female.
