First, start collecting paper, etc. for your covering. Adding the occasional three dimensional object can look cool, too. If the surface you are planning to cover is non-porous, it's a good idea to sand it first so the glue adheres better. Get a brush you don't mind trashing. In my experience, that 1970s staple, ModPodge, is still the best glue.

It's not a complicated technique,but it takes time and patience.You will need : an object that you wish to decorate,paper or pictures that you wish to glue on,scissors or scalpel,glue and brush ( to apply the glue better )polyurethane spray ( for finish,protection ).That's it you are ready to start making your decoupage.
