Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Everyone falls under the same system and the rules apply to all. Everyone can be heard.

The most important aspect of the American legal system is that the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Another important aspect is that, in a lot of cases, judgments are made based on either documented evidence or eye witness statements.
