What are the health benefits of cinnamon?

I hear it helps with blood sugar.

Cinnamon is like many natural products. There have been some early reports which link it to lower blood sugar, however that is not yet proven. As well, the quantities required to have benefit is high. And, it has to be natural cinnamon, not the refined version in stores.

Claims that cinnamon can decrease blood pressure and blood sugar are still being researched on. Few pilot studies showed that cinnamon can lower the blood pressure and triglycerides, but a large-scale scientifical evidence is yet to be found. It does help to increase regulation of your blood sugar. It can also help regulate the yeast in your body. It increases your immune system's ability to fight infection and resist illness. Increased memory is also an added benefit!
