Can be buried anywhere. If someone thinks of home body burial, they need to be in a rural area, away from water supply. should draw a map of their land showing where the family graveyard and have it recorded with the deed and need to file a death certificate and get a burial transit permit at the time of death.

It is illegal to be buried in the yard of a residential property in Florida or in the majority of the states. Burial of human remains and cremains is limited to licensed cemetery properties. If you want to have the remains of someone in the back yard you can sprinkle its ashes on the ground.

I believe that you can, but a certain amount of land must be set aside and approved as a designated burial space on the deed.

Florida does allow for family cemetery of less than 2 acres which cannot be sold. Check with zoning laws and deed registrations. Contact Florida Department of Environmental Protection with questions.

Florida allows burial in certain rural areas. The land needs to have a deed and be registered in the county where you would want the burial to take place.
