What are the copyright considerations for burning DVDs?

I own the DVDs I would be copying.

Under no circumstances should a DVD be copied unless it is your own home movie, Studio Movies are copyrighted, and if you copy them you can get a fine and or go to jail for each instance.

Regardless if you own personal dvds you are not suppose to copy them because of the copyright law even if you are not selling them or giving them away.
