Every state has similiar child support laws and calculations. If you are planning to divorce, have the judge stipulate support terms in the Qualified Domestic Relations Order. If you are not planning on divorce immediately, you should file for custody and or petition the court for support in your local county courthouse.

The judge will look at the income of both parents and make a judgement based on that. Child support also depends on where the child will be staying and when. My suggestion would be to get yourself a good family attourny because they can go over specifics with you and tell you what to do

Kentucky does not take non-payment of child support lightly so you can get into trouble for not paying your support payments.

Kentucky child support laws dictate how much child support will be paid to the custodial parent. Child support laws in kentucky are similar to those in other states.

If the parent is legally responsible for supporting the child, a deduction for the support, has to be made for the support to the extent of payment eligible.

Immediately contact child support enforcement, you can petition the courts for an emergency hearing. The amount will depend on the amount of his income, number of children, etc.
