It amounts to roughly 2-8% of a chance to die/ be injured from a car accident. Many people are involved in car accidents every year and this is not only dependent on driving habits of you, but the driving of others and weather changes. It's better to be safe than sorry. Your parents have a right to be worried.

I am a careful driver. I try to drive just under the speed limit and obey traffic rules. I believe this reduces the chances of me being involved in a bad auto collision. I have taken a safe driver class over the internet, and was surprised that I was able to find some new ideas to help keep safe.
