What are the chances of getting pregnant after 40?

I am 41 and have never been pregnant but really want to be.

As long as you have not hit menopause you might still be able to be pregnant. Though I would make sure to consult with my doctor because pregnancy is always risky and you should see if your are healthy enough to carry a child to term.

Your fertility rate starts to drop actually after age 30. It will continue to decrease year by year and take a big plunge after age 40. At 41, about 15%.

The ability to conceive a child begins to drop dramatically when a woman reaches age 35. At age 30 a woman's chance of getting pregnant any given month is 20% and a woman's chances of getting pregnant after the age of 40 are only 5%. I believe that most women of this age seek fertility help to become pregnant.

It really depends on your body. If you have already gone through menopause, it may be too late. If you are starting to show signs of menopause, then go to your doctor right away.
