The Fender Bassman amplifier is an excellent choice for playing blues, as the amplifier is very clean sounding at lower levels, but gets dirtier as you turn it up, without going into a metallic sort of overdrive. Other good choices would be a Marshall JTM-45, The Fender Blues DeVille, or any one of the Peavey Classic Series amplifiers.

Fender makes about the best amps for blues. Most any Fender amp that's tube powered will give a good thick blues sound.

In one word tube amps ! In particular Vintage.Fender has reissued The Tweed Bassman 4x10 combo ( 5F6A circuit) They have also re introduced several of their popular Blackface amps of the 60's. The allure of the Blackface amps is that they came with onboard reverb. Tube Overdrive and Reverb are key elements in the best Blues amps.

The blues are in your soul. You can find the blues in anything from a spoon to a paper and comb. However, if you want good down to the bayou blues, the Peavy Dedlta Blues amp is a good choice at about $639.

The best blues amps are 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb because it produces the best sound in smaller performing venues such as clubs.

I'm assuming you refer to a guitar amp. Frankly, most tube amps are good, I generally prefer Marshall amps. The guitar is also important, but you didn't ask about that.
