The Methodist Church is evangelical and believes in the Trinity, that the Bible is the true, inspired Word of God, that salvation comes through the acceptance of Jesus' atoning death, that sin is the separation of man from God, and that grace is God's unmerited favor available to all.

The Methodist church bases its beliefs on the teachings of John Weseley. The three most basic precepts are to, 1) shun evil in all of its forms, 2)perform as many kind acts as possible, 3) abide by the laws of God the almighty.

Methodists believe that you don't have to be baptized to complete the salvation step. Just accept Jesus in your heart.

The Methodist church places more value on the actual good works like charitable actions than simple faith and acceptance of Jesus as personal savior.
