Democrats believe the government should take care of everyone, especially the elderly, the poor and the disabled. However, they see no harm in restricting everyone's freedoms to accomplish this.

Actually, "they" believe in personal enterprise with government assistance when needed, and do not wish to restrict personal freedom. Individual liberty is a prized value throught the United States of America.  add a comment

Democrats are generally more liberal in their thinking. They believe that you should give to people that don't have. They believe in bigger government which generally leads to bigger spending. They believe in the continually expanding role of government. They believe in providing health care for all. They believe in promoting social programs such as welfare.

That everyone has a right to vote. Everyone has representation. Everyone has access to their political representatives. All have a right to speak their voice and not be afraid to.
