What are the advantages of external recruitment?

I want to be convinced of the advantages of external recruitment.

None! You are paying for a service that your company can do itself. Not only that, External recruitment services have a bad track record for matching the best employee for your job. They are only concerned about getting your money, not what you or the employee really need.

Some examples would be posting jobs from within your company on the internet or newspaper, or doing a job fair.

External recruitment can take the time investment of posting ads, sorting through resume stacks, reviewing emailed resumes, do initial interviews, verify interviewees are legal to work in the country, and do so in a fully legal manner. Then you get a set group to interview that are almost certainly qualified.
