The advantages are simply in location. The refrigerator typically gets used a lot more than the freezer so placing it above the freezer makes it easier to access every shelf without having to bend over and strain your back On the other hand, having a bottom freezer means you now have to bend over to get anything out.

I also had a top freezer and my husband talked me into a bottom freezer when we redid out kitchen. Boy was that a mistake. I prefer the top freezer. You can see what's there, stack better and it will have more room if you pack it correct. A door shelf is also great for small things.

A bottom freezer consumes less energy than a top freezer because the bottom freezer is also refregerating the items also freezing rather than a top freezer that is weighing down the entire freezer, in conclusion you will save money on ur electric bill, in other terms there are many other reasons.

The Advantages has something to do with location. A top freezer makes it more convenient to get access to every shelf without having to bend down to strain your back. The bottom freezer means you'll have to bend down to get anything out and thats not cool. The top freezer is better choice to have.
