Freeze-12 is cheaper than the R-12. It is lighter than R-12, and it can be mixed together with the R-12 in the same container and still operate normally. There will be no problems using the Freeze-12.

Freeze 12 is 80% R134 and is an EPA approved replacement for R12. R12 is "freon", and is no longer used by manufacturers or approved for use in new vehicles by the EPA.

Freeze-12 is a replacement for r-12. R-12 has become much harder to find and much more expensive to use. Freeze-12 can be used in place of the old system eliminating the need to convert the system over to the new R-134a standard.

Freeze-12 is a brand name (generic brand) that is supposed to replace R-12 (a molecular composition) in older (pre-1994) models since R-12 was banned in the U.S. because of it's atmospheric pollution potential. It's a popular replacement that should work fine (and it's cheaper).
