Tarot cards are used to tell the future, each card represents something different. Some are events,others are things like luck or prosperity. Most psychics use these and offer their reading as part of their services. Tarot cards have been around for along time, but I'm not sure exactly how long.

They are used to give insight, tell a possible future, parts of your past, and possible outcomes in life. They can be spread out several different ways and require concentration from the person receiving the reading. They originated in the 15th century and were used in Europe, many say the origins are in Eygpt, because of the name.

There are 78 cards in the deck. They are often used by fortune tellers. They are thought to have a spiritual connection.
