The most famous painting is the Scream, but it's important to known that there is more than one version of the scream out there. Less famouse is Weeping Nude and the Voice.

Edvard Munch painted "The Scream" (which I'm sure is the one you're referring to). It was actually from a series of pieces he showed in Berlin called "The Frieze of Life". He also authored "The sick child", "Portrait of Hans Jæger", "Puberty", and the also well-known "Inger On the Beach".
