What are some ways to tenderize meat, like less expensive cuts of beef and pork.?

To tenderize meat you can pound it with a meat mallet, put the meat in marinade- longer the better, or you can use meat tenderizer found in the grocery store.

You can hammer then with a mallet, this is cheap and easy. Another way is to use lemon juice, soy sauce and a bit of sugar. Marinade the meat in this for 30 minutes or so. Longer is better.
