What are some uses for dry molasses on lawns?

Dry molasses is an excellent 'green' choice as a substitute for a lawn fertilizer. This is because it requires less to accomplish the same job. Simply spread the dry molasses as you would fertilizer, then water it. Dry molasses can also be used for weed control, and even for keeping snakes out of the lawn.

It makes a great fertilizer for alot of plants but I also know the odor of it draws alot of bugs that I am sure you do not want in or near your garden.

Dry molasses contains sulfur and iron. While some lawns could benefit from these minerals, there are other ways of getting them to your grass without getting all the pests that the molasses would attract.
