A geometric design that is appealing to the eye, represents a flower, like a dandelion. Unfortunately, to accomplish this, takes a tremedous amount of power to support the force field with a mag-lev trane technology. Other designs are like suspended bridges, but the engineering is complicated also. If you are just looking for bricks on sand, look at Lowes.

You can create one with an arch top with lower struts that extend into the house in an arch pattern. It will appear the deck is hanging on the house.

you can use stilts, or concrete pillars as a design to your patio. there is also the option of doing a search on various architects and getting ideas from their designs.
