A good name for golden retrievers can be something like Aurous, Auriferous,Flaxen, Straw, Orchroid, Blondie, Honey, Wheatey, Wheat, Mellow (yellow),Goldeen, Goldilocks, Ray of sunshine, Happiness, Sunflower, Sunbeam, Sunny, Caramel, Bright Star, Aubade. You can also name your dog something different that doesn't have to do with it's color such as Paws, T-Bone.

The best way to do that is to take a few different names and take a bit of each one and mke up your own name. If you make up the name yourself it will be totally unique.

Because of his size, noble nature and color, check names out of history like Alexander, Caesar, goddess and god names, or names out of literature, astronomy- google Celtic, Greek, etc baby names- look for lovely names more common in other or ancient cultures like Mayan, Spanish, and even old Biblical names, old names common in Appalachia or the Old South.
