Using scrap booking supplies you can make cute and creative cards. I have also made cards out of programs or other materials that I have lying around the house. Pictures also make all cards more personal.

I collect colorful, pretty bits of cardboard and paper I would otherwise recycle. I buy cheap blank cards from the dollar section of Michaels and glue shapes onto them with Elmers or a glue stick. I've also taken pictures (usually of my pets) next to signs with messages on them. If you can draw, use your talent!

You can try creating your own cards. You can make them each have different things on them. Put some jokes on them too.

Make collages using photos of your friends and momentos of events you've been to together. You can make large collages with news articles from the year they were born- search the internet for these then print and make your collage.

Go to a craft store and buy pieces of card stock , fold them in half. Decorate with confetti,stickers from the scrapbook section, paint, and glitter. You can even glue a tiny envelope on the inside to stick some money in there or a gift card. That will make a unique and special card.
