I would buy some red, pink and white cardstock, markers, glue and glitter and let the kids come up with their own ideas! Give them a list of "love" words, if they need it. There is also software for card making if they want a more professional look.

One of the easiest projects is to cut red or pink paper into a heart and let the children decorate with red/white/pink glitter. Use any glue to make designs and write Happy Valentine's Day, sprinkle with glitter, shake excess, and let dry!

Homemade Valentine's Day cards can be a blast to make with your children! One good idea is to round up old magazines and construction paper, and cut out letters that form the words "Happy Valentines Day" and glue them to the paper! One the inside you can personalize your message!

You can cut out tons of different colored and sized hearts. Then let your children use their imagination to make different designs.
