Watkin's manufactures different extracts (flavorings) that you can add to a plain or another flavored cake mix to spice it up, such as Black Walnut, Peppermint, Banana, Cherry, Almond, Butter, Coconut, Maple, and a whole lot more. You can purchase these at a Wal-Mart Super Center Store or order them online.

One recipe I found that looks intriguing was a root beer cake. Someone else suggested adding a rasberry puree to a chocolate cake mix. I found several places of an online nature that specialized in exotic flavored cakes. While many flavors sounded tempting, and delicious, this was more of a buying of pre-made cakes.
