Good Teamwork comes from making sure that everyone is pulling their weight. If you have one member who is slacking it is contagious. You have to call that person out, either privately or possibly in a meeting. If you fix the bottom, the rest falls right into place without much further effort.

It is a good practice to periodically do a teambuilding activity or a team function. An activity that involves team members working together such as solving a puzzle or mystery.

The most important thing is not to condescend, patronize, or talk down to them. Talk to them compassionately but treat them like adults. Accept and listen to their input and make them feel like they are valuable. Be genuine though, team members can spot fake behavior pretty easily and it will lose you their trust.

Communication is key. As a Team Leader (or even a Member) it is important to talk to the other members of your team frequently about their process. Encourage them to come to you whenever they have difficulty preforming their duties. This should not be a time for scolding but rather a time to find the solution together.

There are many great teamwork strategies out there. For example, group teams of people who get along well, are motivated and hard workers. Try give one assignment to individual groups for more accurate and focused results.
