The most acclaimed RPG for the Playtation in my opinion has to be Final Fantasy. Other RPG's include: Star Ocean, Castlevania, Chrono Trigger, and Dragon Quest to name a few.

The original Playstation was the system for some of the best RPG games of all time. Final Fantasy 7,8,and 9 are some of the best RPGs ever made. Xenogears combines action and philosophy. Chrono Cross examines time travel, while The Legend Dragoon takes a simple story and enhances it with gorgeous graphics.
