What are some relaxation techniques?

First eliminate any one that you can that causes you stress, if they call don't pick up the phone. Next get lots of sleep. It's important to breathe deeply and cut down on caffiene. Spend some time every day doing something that is pleasureable for you. A nice brisk walk in the evening will reduce stress.

Many people find it easy to relax by simple meditation exercises and cutting down on stress. Keeping your mind clear from all troubles is definitely beneficial. Also exercising, drinking tea and eating healthy have been proven to help people relax.

There are good deep breathing techniques to relive acute anxiety, but if you just need to relax, find a calm hobby to pick up. A lot of people knit or tinker with electronics to relax and take their minds off of other things.

Things such as Yoga are great ways to relax. Although yoga can be strenuous its how you feel after your done. Other ways would include getting a massage, breathing properly, going out to hang with friends.
