What are some good relaxation techniques that I could use before driving a car?

Before I drive I always like to count to ten, knowing there will be a driver out there that makes me mad. And if Im in a bad mood to start sipping hot tea always calms me down.

Deep breathing is always soothing. Also sitting in the car while it is running in park can be calming try to feel comfortable with the engine. When starting to drive also drive slow. You dont have to do over the speed limit, and start driving often in low stress places

There are many ways to calm yourself, even if you have anxiety attacks before getting a car. Deep breathing, yoga, and meditation are all great ways to relax before something stressful. Develop a 20 minute stretching routine involving deep breathing exercises and practice it every day before you have to drive. Do it in a quiet, undisturbed, peaceful place.

I suggest a nice cup of coffee. It soothes the mind and stomach and allows you to bring yourself back down to earth. Just remember to go to the bathroom before you set off if it is a long trip.
