White vinegar makes a great natural cleaning solution. For cleaning floors, even sealed hardwood floors, dilute the vinegar with water, about half and half. Put solution in a spray bottle for use all around the house.
First you need to start off with a useable bucket, a clean mop (most mops such as libman or even a commercial mop are machine washable), and use Pine-sol cleaner. It doesn't take much, depending on how much you need to clean usually around 2-3 cap-fulls will do the job.
Vinegar and water works well, but if the floor's finish doesn't matter, open up the windows for good ventilation and try bleach diluted with water. Be sure to try these out on small a inconspicuous area of the floor, first.
Soap (such as dish washing liquid) and chlorine bleach makes a good basic mix. Be sure your soap has NO ammonia in it because that creates a dangerous poison gas.
I find that one of the most effective mooping soluitions is very hot water and plain white distilled vinegar. It is very inexpensive and most people have white vinegar in their kitchen.
