If you are really straining for ideas, "Congratulations" is always a safe bet. If the gender of the baby is known, you can always go for "It's a Boy" or "It's a Girl." If you want something a little less generic sounding, you can try something along the lines of "Welcome, Little One" or "[Mother's name]'s Bundle of Joy"

I have seen cakes that said "Make Way for Baby". I've also seen cakes with "Look Out World, Here I Come!" Those are two funny sayings I've seen.

Some cake quotes say congratulations You are having a boy or girl, sugar and spice and everything nice that's what girls are made of, pretty dresses, little curls, oh thank heaven for little girls, dresses, ribbons and hair to curl, we're tickled pink you're having a girl.

If the mother doesn't know the gender, my favorite saying on a cake that I saw was: Showers of Joy e Girl or Boy! Another cake had a phrase of: Pink or Blue ... We Welcome You! A third option is: A baby is cuddles and tickles on toes, The sweet scent of powder, A kiss on the nose!
