The most destructive dogs are untrained dogs, especially puppies. An adult dog can usually be easily trained and is unlikely to be distructive.

Any type of tunneling or terrier dog will naturall dig in the yard. Inside dogs to avoid would be the larger breeds over 100 pounds that tend to be clumsy and will knock things over in the house. The most destructive ones I have found are boxer's as they get bored very easily and will destroy a house.

Dalmatians are very protective and can snap anytime. Boxers and pitbulls are really mean, and are known for biting. Huskies are also mean dogs.

The best dogs for children are; Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Pugs Poodles and Beagles. The worst kids dogs are; Chihuahuas, Dalmatians, Pitbulls, Rottweilers, and Chow Chows. Mixed breeds are usually calm but don't go for one that is a mix of the worst breeds.
