Make sure the dog is getting plenty of attention and exercise. Dogs tend to be destructive when they are lonely or sad. Show them lots of attention and care. As a last resort pin them up when you are not home, or you may consider getting another do to keep them company.

This depends on the type of dog and what point in their life you shared your home with them. If the dog is tearing things up in the house, it could be due to seperation anxiety. Try to leave the tv on when you leave the house or crate training.

You can bring the dog to get trained by someone with experience or you can get advive on how to train them.

First, you need to always be present to correct the behavior, so if you can't be in the room with your dog, crate it. Then start to reward positive behaviors, sitting laying down playing etc. Always IMMEDIATELY correct bad behavior, a dog's memory span is 2 seconds!
