Direct Observation is the first and foremost method, and it is the efficient way of analysis in my view since it is done by directly observing the work of a personnel.Then next comes the interview method, since it also involves some interaction face-to-face.

The items are organized into six divisions to help collect information. Conventional job analysis consists of observing and interviewing. It treats work activities as the job descriptors. Functional job analysis is all about collecting data.
