As far as I know the only plant that you can keep in the house that doesn't require constant light is a christmas cactus. The best thing you can do is a net search and it will pul tons of plants for you and it will give you all the instructions you need to be succesful with them.

Mostly all indoor plants need light, but should not be in the window, because the sun is too strong and it will burn and dry out the plant. You always need some light to dry out the soil otherwise it will rot the roots of the plant.
