What are some jobs for senior citizens?

He could work as a greeter at a store such as Target or Walmart. Some companies employ senior citizens to work with other senior citizens to understand services. He may be able to work in a restaurant as a host. There may be someone at a senior center or similar organization that could help him find a job.

There are many jobs out there such as odd jobs (painting, building fences, woorworking etc) or if your Dad is internet savvy he could check into online jobs by joining a message board. Good luck to your Dad.

If your dad is a people-person, he should apply at Wal-mart or Sam's Club to be a door greeter. This position seems to primarily be older men & women.

I know that schools hire elderly people for the jobs of teacher aids. They give children an environment that exposes the children to patient, caring grandparent like people. They can be hall monitors and aids in special ed rooms.
