To get rid of dry hands, as well as other dry skin, is by using emu oil. It has the same properties as human skin and absorbs quickly. You only have to use a tiny amount to get rid of dryness. It is a little expensive but well worth it.

Here are two ideas: First, drink more water or other non-caffeinated liquid. Your skin needs to "drink" from the inside out! Second, beware of soaps, detergents, and household chemicals that are drying out your hands -- use gloves while cleaning or rinse your hands after contact.

Use aloe vera gel after your bath. Rub it into your hands and cover them with some old gloves or socks. This will make the aloe soak into dry skin. You can also take the aloe plant itself, break the stems and put the liquid directly on your hands.

A good home remedy for dry hands is to using a natural vitamin E 500 mg capsule daily. You will see improvement in your hands soon. A word of warning however, the use of vitamin E is a natural blood thinner and should be stopped before a planned surgery.
