Speak proper english. Don't chew anything while on the phone. Know how to handle different types of customers. Learn how to deal with hangup calls. Make sure you pronounce the name correctly. Nothing is worse then calling someone by their wrong name. Be pleasant no matter how mad the receiver of the call is.

Be sure to be upbeat and friendly. Use proper English and be sure to enunciate. Making sure to project your voice would also be wise.

Be as pleasant as possible. The employer thinks if you are a pleasant person it will show in your voice.
