When interviewing for a job in a call center, one might expect to be asked about previous experience one has had doing this type of work. It is not unusual to also be asked about one's ability to interact with others and whether or not the person applying for the job can express him or herself in an articulate manner.

Have you ever worked for a call center before? Do you have experience in customer service? How would you rate your temper? Have you ever taken any public speaking courses? What computer skills do you have? How many words can you type per minute? Do you have experience talking and typing at the same time?

When applying for a position in a call center, you will most often be asked about your experience. Have you ever worked a position that required constant telephone communication? Do you know how to use a multi-line telephone? How can you prevent someone from hanging up before the call is finished? Can you be accepting of diversity?

Expect to be asked questions regarding your previous experience. An interviewer may ask something more specific, such as "tell me of a time when took a call from an upset customer. How did you handle it and what was the outcome? ". An interviewer will also question your call success rate and ability to handle difficult people.

They'll want to know if you have any experience working for call centers. They will probably ask you to role play a typical call, so that they can get a feel for how you speak on the phone (tone, friendliness, etc.) If you have experience, they may ask you to describe a difficult situation that you had with a caller.

Normal questions are something along the lines of,"tell us about yourself","what are your best and worst qualities", "tell me about a time you set a goal and did you stick to it", "tell me about a time you had an irate customer, and how did you deal with them and what was the end result". Good luck in your interview!

Some questions that may be asked are "do you have experience in a call center?" If so how much. What was your last position held at a call center?
